HT1250 PL problem

Post by CommJunkie »

I have a 403-470mhz HT1250 that I bought used from a friend locally. I programmed it up for my specs, and noticed that when I turn the radio on, the radio does not receive using the PL. In order to hear any activity on any channel, I have to press the Monitor button. I should also mention that I have programmed many of these radios, and have double-checked my programming and have concluded that it is all correct. I have also noticed that out of, say, 10 power ups, 1 of those will allow the radio to operate as it should, while the other 9 times it will not decode the PL.

Also, there is a PL hum on every PL on every channel in the radio. I took another radio that I can manually select a PL and actually listened to the PL tone through the HT1250. Somehow, I'm thinking that there's something not aligned right in the radio, but I don't know what it would be.

Thanks for the help.

If you have access to the Global Tuner, try changing the baseband offset frequencies. Look here: http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... and+offset

Are you using MDC or some other form of signaling? Make sure your signaling type isn't set to AND.

Thanks for the replies. I will try changing the offset freqs and double-check my MDC coding and report back.
