MCS2000 UHF 450-520 to 444 MHz?

Post by wb4gbi »

Greetings to the group...

I am attempting to modify CPS version 2.03.00 to expand the UHF coverage down to 440 MHz. I have a friend's radio that I wish to program Amateur 440 Mhz repeaters into, but it won't go below 450 MHz. I have successfully changed this same CPS for 900 Mhz and to allow a 146 Mhz MCS down to 144. I have searched for 450 and 450.0000 in the Hex editor and am coming up empty. Has anyone successfully modified this CPS for UHF? Feel free to email at the address below. Thanks in advance!!

search for hex 80 74 D2 1A and replace with 80 47 A1 19 this should allow it to go to 430 mhz
i have modified all most every cps for extended freq coverage with no problems
