XTS3000 housing on an XTS3500?

Post by MTS2000des »

since finding an XTS3500 housing is next to impossible does anyone know if the 3000 housing would work? Would you use an AN or BN style? Ideas? Anyone?

I see no reasons as to why they won't. As far as I know the only differences in the housings were the "purple" colored upper buttons on the XTS3500's housings. Other then that, the housings appear to be the same.

It will work just fine, I had done this back when I had 3500 in a busted case and was waiting on a new case to show up. Moved to a spare 3000 case I had.

The buttons are not part of the case, they can be moved as well, I have several Yellow case 3000s with the 3500 key membrain.
