Re: Motorola Minitor III OR IV on Ham
I have had some luck getting a 151-159 split to receive in the ham band. I guess some rf boards will go further out than others. Check out this video on you tube I haven't had a lot of luck with this method. But I have only tried it to get a 450 split minitor into the 70cm ham band. It may be worth ...

There is also the case that they are LS that someone tried to turn into conventionals and blew out the tuning data. usually messing with the tuning is not the first approach to a problem like this. Hopefully you have backups of the original tuning. Could you share with us your code plug? and tell us ...

when the setting is enabled the radio will be monitoring the channel in CSQ when the mic is not hung up. try grounding the clip on the back of the mic and see if your problem goes away. I will also see if I can find were in the cps the setting is. let me know what you find out

Rich,
Can you tell us a little more about your problem? by ignore do you mean it does not unmute? or does it unmute for everything? perhaps it is monitor when mic off hook setting?

I have a UHF R2 qunatar in ham service. It has a controller connected to it but the station is configured as a repeater so that P25 is passed through it. Re: HT1250 Boo Boo
You can use the unofficial Waris labtool to blow in an HT1250 codeplug, but if you do I believe the radio will need to be retuned.
you can also use global tuner to save the tuning data before blowing in a new code plug. Its a pretty good rule of thumb to back up the tuning data before you do ...

I have an EX500 that came with an after market battery, it seems to be the source of intermittent power to the radio. It also doesn't charge correctly. On a rapid rate charger it flashes red as the charging cycle finishes. I want to replace it but it seems the OEM batteries for these radios are ...

I have never done this with a spectra, but I have done it with a CDM. it is very simple to interface to the computer. What frequencies are you trying to put into the radio? typically more than 10 mHz out of band won't happen. sounds like you are really in need of the "Q" split version which will do 403-470

Thanks! My problem was that I had not changed directories into the directory with the files. Even though I was able to run srec2bin I was not able to generate an out put file. I am still missing the algorithm to calculate the band limits since the links to the original directions are broken. Thanks!

I just got a UHF R2 110watt Quantar. We are co-ordinated for 100W, we heard that when these PAs are run near full output they can be prone to failure. Does anyone have any experience with this? Should we run at 100w output?
