Before I try to program my radio I would like to verify that the RIB okey, I don't want to damage another radio... Is there some simple ...

Possible to damage RIB?
Hi again
I have a HT750 that I might have fried using a "RIB-less" cable. A friend of mine will try to restore the radio. He's afraid that my damaged radio could destroy his RIB.
Is that possible, given that there isn't any abnormal voltages on the TX,RX lines from the radio?

Oki..
Ok, thanks. I will look in to getting some real equipment.
But the questiohn still remain, how do I know if something have been damaged?
No point in getting expensive programming equipment if the radio is allrady dead.

Have I fried my HT750?
Hi
I tried to program my HT750 with a home made RIB-Less programming cable (without using the Boot Ctrl signal). It didn't work at all and I read a couple of posts on this forum an I realised that I still need a RIB. Not using a RIB could damage the radio?
The radio still appear to work as before ...

Does anyone have som info for me? Maby you could tell me about the cells in the battery pack, how many and the voltages.
There are several charge control chips on the market, i'm thinking of building my own very cheap charger...

Charging GP340 batteries
Hi
Is there an extremely cheap way to charge GP340 batteries? I don't have a charger and my budget is 0 $. Is it possible to slow charge them with a simple power supply unit? What voltage and current should I then use?

Info about HT-800, 16 ch
Hi,
I have just bought a pair of HT-800 UHF, 16 channel version. Does anyone have any additional information about them? Is it true that only 8 channels could be scanned?
Best Regards
Martin
