I found it on a side post. Sorry for all the questions. The DSP needs to be I or N.

Thanks for all the info!

I was wondering about the A. What is the lowest letter (dsp version) that would support IMBE?

Re: Astro Saber III 800mhz Codeplug request

Pardom my ignorance on this, but I thought you could load IMBE into any 1mb vocon board?

You can convert a VSELP radio to IMBE if you have the version F, or G vocoder boards (1 Meg Boards) in other words any radio with a 1 meg vocoder can be converted to be used for either IMBE or VSELP but not both.

Thanks Will, That was exactly the info I was looking for. Now I have one last question that will show my inexperience. In the saber line does the frequency drift over time? Do you periodically have to re-align the radio to stay in spec? If so how often? I always assumed once it was aligned it stayed ...

Thanks for the reply. Following this logic the modules are the variable and the main boards all the same (UHF). Sorry if this was a stupid question.

General alignment question

What I have is a general question about Saber/Sys Saber alignment. I couldn't find any info on this ...

Part number 1305622Q15 is the label with securenet-s and the 0 and crossed out 0 for clear and secure switch.

Par number 1305622Q03 is lable that says securenet on the top, has the hole cut out for the secure switch, and the circle and circle crossed out on it for clear and secure.

Hi all, Does anyone know the correct part number for for a saber 1 submersable securenet saber escutcheon? Motorolas website is not very descriptive and the service manual does not state securenet for the listed part number 1305622Q04.

Telex whisper mike em200 cable

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has ever built an interface cable from the telex em200 to the hirose adapter on a saber? The cheapest price I can find for the telex cable to saber is $239.00. Does anyone have the pinouts? I saw another thread that had sources for the hirose connectors. It ...
