3.5mm threaded plug- help!

Please somebody give me the part number and or source for this stupid plug- its a 3.5mm threaded plug (stereo I think) I have been to my local moto dealer and was told that it does not exist, I know thats not true because I HAD one. This would be used for a visar accesory- which by the way has a THREADED jack!!! Thanks, John

I think that is the same connector that the HT1000 uses. I don't know the part number but I know that one of our guys used that connector on his ht1000, mt2000 and visar.

Yep, same one used on the ht1000 side accesory connector, Just cant find the damn thing!

If your looking for just the plug part. There is no Motorola part number. The best I can do is recomend the Otto Communications headset replacement cable assembly.This unit has an in-line PTT.

Sennheiser cordless microphones use a 3.5mm stereo plug with a threaded top (plug it into the jack and then thread the top onto the base)--this could be the same part as the motorola.

they have got a locking cable mount 3.5mm connector. sounds like what you might need. part number CA-C4407LKA page 64 in the current catalog.

The plug in question is available from Motorola. It seems to be designed for a molded cable because there is no cover available for it.

Part number 2805101W01 Threaded plug, priced around $5.00 US.

Hi John...the adapter you need, if it is for a visar, is not the same as the adapter for gp's ht's etc...the visar antenna is basically an "sma" connector....
you can get readily available "female sma to female bnc" adapters which work out real good 'cause they are not big and bulky...I think people get confused 'cause sma's are sometimes called "apc 3.5 connectors" on professional ( read: hewlett packard) test equip, ( I refuse to call them Aglilent!) as compared to the "audio" 3.5 mm adapters....ps, for the other radios, motorola made (I have one here at work) a 3.5 mm "audio" to female bnc, with threads, made by them specifically for their two ways...(I'll see if it has a # on it)

ok, looked at the one I have, box says it's for gp 300... it's a 2.5mm plug, not a 3.5, "mono", and has more threads as compared to the pic Nand has above...no numbers on anything...for you, John, does'nt matter as you need an sma adapter, I'm sure Pasternack has them....not their greatest fan, but for stuff like that it's good enough...P.S. I'm assuming we're talking the antenna connector! If not, never mind!
