1. CAPS LOCK SUCKS

2. It would help if knew what kind of truck it was

3. You are probably backfeeding constant power to the ignition switched lead on the radio. Either that or you totally disconnected the ignition switched lead and spliced it into constant power.

4. If things went bad and you caused a short that melted insulation, you could have wires crossed.

eBay at it's finest:
Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

Its possible you corrupted the CPU/memory in the radio.

There should be a way to do manual reset.

Try using GMC LAB RSS to push a fresh codeplug into it. That should correct any CPU corruption

What do you mean even after you unhooked everything? What did you unhook? Also when you were taking the radio out, did you just unplug it or were you cutting wires.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Matt is right and some how (most likely when you were hooking in your XM radio) you got a non igintion switched wire feeding your igintion switching wire.

You won't need LAB for that, it's front panel programmable.
