Tundra install up date for Pat.
Sorry for the long responce to your question Pat, I tried to email but would not go, and kept comming back. As far as problems with electrical systems of the truck no problems. Before drilling any holes in the truck I did some pretty intensive testing first used a mag mount antenna and a quick install of the radio and related parts Three weeks worth.. I turned everything on and transmitted, lights, heater, turn signals, ran the truck up to 70 mph turned on cruise ect and trasmitted all systems worked fine. Checked the dash lights everything I could think of. I even transmitted and put the brakes to the floor and the ABS brake system worked as it should the peddle pulsates as it should meaning it is working the way it should. I even tested the rear view mirror which has a compass and a temp sensor in it no problems with that or the computers in the trucks systems. Monty Sisco saw the install I did he was very impressed and said it was very clean looking. Wanted to know if I could do installs for him. If Monty likes it you know it is a first class job and no short cuts, cables were all protected with wire loom cable tied the works. As soon as Monty gets his camera working he will post some photos. Any questions please ask of Email me Rich Collier

Install in Tundra
Richard,
I have been traveling extensively on business and hope to be able to start install this weekend. Thinking about an antenna mount stake holes in P/U bed using a Larsen antenna with coil no requiring a ground plane.
Your install sounds like what I'd like to do. However, my Spectra has the remote head and I think I'll put it on the tranny tunnel with rest of radio under drivers seat. That leaves the leads to battery and antenna as drill holes.
Did you use any load filters to the radio?
Thank for info.
I have not seen the photos yet. Have you all gotten together to take the photos.
