Since we haven't seen any pictures in a few days and I finally got around to it I thought I would post some pictures of the install on my Suburban.

Spotlight is the Code 3 Nightprobe. I haven't had any problems with it. It is really bright.
It clips on the hood kind of like a trunk lip mount antenna. Stays there all the time. Great Conversation Piece too. Remote controlled from inside the cab.
=====
The trailer in the background is a communications trailer that we built for our ARES group and I have made it available to loan out to groups and other EMA's that don't have one. I need to get some pictures of it and post them as well. It's full of Moto equipment.
=====
The vehicle is my personal vehicle. I am the Emergency Coordinator for ARES/SKYWARN in our County. Also a member of the County CERT Team and work with other disaster relief organizations.
Only lighting is hideaway strobes in the front and rear lights. Seems to work well enough for what I need.
Thanks,
Steve

Looks great and how my 03 suburban is supposed to look inside if I didn't have the factory console BS to deal with.
Very nice over all - I like it 100%
Just curious did you have any issues installing the havis console in your burb? I'm assuming the 01 doesn't have the "stuff" mounted inside the factory console like mine does.

Mine only had the controls for the rear Stereo Outputs and the Cassette player was in the front piece.
I did lose the rear speakers when I did this. No big deal to me though. I don't listen to the car radio/stereo that much anyhow.
The factory console unbolted with 4 bolts and I replaced it with the Havis with no problem. Actually I had a Galls console before but it was not big enough.

Radio Controls
If you take the radio controls out of the factory console you can remount them in the Havis Console. I have an '01 Suburban that I did this with and it works great. Take a filler plate and a dremel tool and the factory radio controls fit in like a glove...........
