RTK-4070A??

Post by kc2dla »

Is this a Spectra Keyload cable and does it have the mx style connector to connect to a T3020BX?

This isn't some test cable for that silly DES test set is it? :x

Thanks,
Paul

This is the cable used to interface the R2000D/R2670 Series analyzers with secure comm options to the Expo, Syntor X 9000 or the MSF5000 radios. It has the five pin DIN plug on one end. The KVL to Spectra cable is TKN8531C.

Thanks, that clears things up a bit.
Suppose I remove the connector for the analyzer and put an MX style connector on the end. Would this allow me to keyload Spectras, EXPOs, and hirose Sabers? :P

I don't know about the SABER, it seems to me that they required a different cable. The part numbers I have all interface with test equipment not the KVL (I got lucky on the KVL to Spectra number). Changing the DIN connector to the MX type should work OK.

the 20x4/d series monitors use a DB-15 connector for interfacing to the RTL 4200 breakout box

if that cable has a 5 pin (whatever) DIN plug on it, then it's for either the DES/DVP test boxes or for the RTL4200...
