Astro Faceplates...Again

Post by Leadenwah »

Regarding the replacement Astro head faceplates having no Astro logo on them:

I have a HCN-1121A , Astro W-9 head, with Astro logo, but the part number in the faceplate shows only: 15005125X0. There is no " 9 " on the end of this number.

Might this matter ?

You may want to call parts ID first...

I have a 1505125X09 in my hand... there is no Astro on it. I made the same mistake rof did... by using the manual. Go figure.

I never followed up on it though....

good luck

I went round and round for a few weeks. If you order ANY of the Astro Spectra W9 faceplates, it comes WITHOUT the logo.

However....

I ordered the XTL5000 W9 faceplate, and ASTRO is printed on it AND the plastic is black, not brown so it looks nicer in consoles.

Astro turf

Post by Leadenwah »

Thanks to you all for explaining the situation with the W-9 faceplates which Motorola ships without " Astro " on them.

I'm newer to the Astros than most of you, but am learning that when one steps on to the Astro turf, he's in a different ballpark than the regular Spectra lot.

Sometimes Motorola moves from technology to theology in their mysterious ways.
