Saber problem cant transmit but can recieve.
Hey got a saber securnet the securenet option isnt installed with a chip yet. Every time I press the speak button eather the mic or the radio it holds a solid tone. Any ideas?
Saber Tx Tone
If it doesn't have a steady tone when receiving, the mode may be Rx only or may be programmed out of range of the VCO.

As stated before, if there is no bypass module or jumper installed where the securenet should go, I dont believe the radio will Tx, but seeing that you are gettting a steady tone this may be also due to an Rx only channel.

jumper
I had the same problem, if bypass the securenet module with a small piece of single cat 5 wire it works perfectly!!!
Just to be clear, a Saber without an encryption module or bypass installed will transmit RF. It will not, however, pass any audio. All you will pick up on a service monitor or another radio is an umodulated carrier.motorolamonster911 wrote:As stated before, if there is no bypass module or jumper installed where the securenet should go, I dont believe the radio will Tx,
Also, a Saber without the encryption module will receive unencrypted audio just fine. The lack of this module does not affect the "clear" audio path.

Is this also true on a MCX1000?
No audio, PL/DPL or MDC on transmit. Also the receiver will not mute, just stays in carrier sq. even tho it is programmed for PL.
One of my Sabers has a TONE at the begining of every receive like a warrning that the received signal is in the "Clear", not encrypted. Could'nt turn it off.
