Astra for non-Astro Spectra Consolette Swapout

Can an astro Spectra brick be used in place of a non-astro brick in a Spectra consolette.....800 mhz DGT9000 remote only control package?

I know in the mobiles the heads are not interchangable between astro and non-astro (I'm told)....correct me if I am wrong.

r0f, you're correct in assuming a non-astro head won't work on an astro radio.

yea yea.

Work can do that.

The only thing about the PA I'd wonder about... Since P25 isn't FM modulation, the PA might behave differently.

Then again, an ASTRO Spectra is capable of regular FM, so it must be backwards compatible. So, I would hazard a guess that an ASTRO PA would work on a regular Spectra, I just don't know about the other way around.
