Does the XTS5000 have an RSSI guage on it?

And if so, does anyone have an image or could make an image of what the screen looks like.

I figure if the XTS5k has it, then the XTS2.5K probably does too, and I suspect that it does, but my display module which came today was damaged and I had to send it back....my radio is yet to be completed :(

From what I understand, the RSSI guage just works on AStro trunked or maybe just trunked systems. I don't believe is works conventionally. At least thats what I remember.

Yes the 2500 has a signal strength meter on it and needs to have the SmartZone flag selected under Coverage Type in the trunking system. It does not work in conventional that I have seen yet.

I'm sure the 5000 works the same, but I haven't messed with one that was flashed for SmartZone to date.

Well that'll be fun to watch.

I wonder if the signal will fluctuate as much as an iDEN radio does....in order to find out, I have to wait for my display to come back.

It will not display the signal strength on a SmartNet system either.

It doesn't fluctuate that much on my system being its 10 site simulcast. It does go from full scale to 3/4 scale sometimes but all in all it's not very accurate or really means much to the end user.
