Kenwood speaker mic question

Post by NodrogCop »

A friend is looking for a public safety style speaker mic for a Kenwood TK-272G portable. I checked Otto's website, and they don't appear to have one.

Does anyone know is there's one out there? Thanks for any help.

I have yet to find a "public safety" style mic for the 272, Kenwood sells a "heavy duty" mic, which is similar to a GP-300 regular speakermic. They can be had for about $45.

The only current production Kenwood models that support the Kenwood KMC-26 Public Safety Mic are:

TK-290
TK-390
TK-5400

You can use the public safety mic with all of the following, but, there is no connection for the external antenna.

TK-280
TK-380
TK-480
TK-2140
TK-3140
