OT: Help Identify This Radio

Post by ANB_Medic »

I have a few Johnson mobile radios that I'm going to be getting rid of because they're taking up space. Only problem is, I have no idea what they are. They were given to me by a now-defunct security company and came with no antennae or accessories. The only number on them other than the serial number is the FCC identification number which is ATH90F2428610. They are obviously some sort of trunking radio as the buttons on the front are labled "volume" "system" and "group". There are also three small buttons labled "v" "a" and "s". There is a 2 digit LED (8 segment) display with three colored LED's between them.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

That should be a Logic Trunked Radio model #8610. 800mhz band 35w LTR only -- no talk around 10 systems, 10 groups. Pretty well worthless for ham use. Requires a trunked system to talk through.
good luck
