Besdie I used NTN7209A to charge NTN8610BR it seems work, becasue before charge the battery was 7.2v,, after charge it back to 7.9v. However as I know Li-on battery peak level is 8.4v so is the "tri-chem charger" Can be fix my queries ?

"wpln4111" it is the part number of "tri-chem charger" ?

Thank You, calvat :)

you can seriously damage the lion chemistry battery by not charging it in the right charger.

yes, wpln4111 is the correct charger - and will also charge the new(er) IMPRESS batteries (smart batts)

r0f,

Thanks you are sharing your experience in handling Li-ion battery, I also had one experience incaution to handling Li-ion battery when I was put + / - together (it burn my finger).

Well up to now on I will use a lower charging current power supply to recharge this battery until I buy impres charger.

Thank you, calvat

I purchased:

NTN1667A - NON-IMPRES (Tri-Chemistry)

For under $100 from M. Got it today, will do both Saber's and XTS batteries.

Good deal IMHO.

Actually looks just like a waris charger. About a 5" round circle, with a cup in the middle, and two small piece of plastic that hold a battery in that are pushed back if you charge an astro saber battery.

Nothing really exciting. I don't know what the Impress one looks like off hand.
