Anyone know the part number for the BNC adapter to allow an external antenna on a P110/GP300 ??

How about the P200/MT1000 and also the HT1250?

Thanks in advance.

check Motorola.com and follow the links to accessory and aftermarket parts div. those adapters are under the radio model then link to the service accessories- they're all in there.

If you deal with Tessco, Hutton or any other LMR distributor, RF Industries has a GP300/350/P110 to BNC adapter (RFB-1141) for less than half the price of the Motorola.

HI:

The Correct Part Number is
a HLN9756A for the Antenna Adaptor
for the GP300

The HT600/P200 RF Adaptor which requires
a additional Cable is a NTN5368A and requires
a NKN6408A or eq. cable

Beware, I have seen
some of the RF Industry Connectors are
DEFECTIVE as they do not " Extend" all
the way to the Contact of the Acc'y jack
and CAN cause a PA failure

I do not know if this was a Short Run of Defective Ones, or if they are all that way.

So beware !

I have a few Factory Originals if you wish
to email me direct @ [email protected]

We have over 2 dozen in use and have never noticed either a physical or electrical problem. But now you've got me curious: I'll get out the calipers and compare the two. I can say that the RF Industries unit looks fine on the spectrum analyzer.

Hi:

To insure we are speaking about the
Correct RF Industires Adaptor, the one
I have used for a reference is a RFB-1141

That is the one located on the right of the
photo.

What I have seen is there is a "Extra" Thread
on the Motorola one compared to the RFB Style

Also, I noticed the end of the Pin of the
RFB Style is indented, where the Motorola
is not.

Also , the ground "Pitch angle" just below the insulator is not the same, and it appears
the Insulator on the RFB is sitting a bit
lower comapred to the Motorola one.

As a result ( of at least the ones I have )
it causes the GP300 not to make a Postitive
Contact with the Ground, or the Center Pin
of the Acc'y jack

I Suspect this difference in the RFB connector prevents the Center Pin from
comming in Positive contact with the
acc'y antenna jack

I've also found a problem similar to what Monty is reporting with a RFB-1142 (BNC-f to
SMA-f) I tried using this on the Jedi radios
but the SMA side wasn't long enough to contact the radio's center pin. In fairness to RF Industries checking their site they spec. this part # for the Johnson radios and the Motorola part# is RFB-1142-4. Point here is just cause it appears to be a correct connector for your application dimensions vary enough to make some applications un-usable.

THe shoulder on th antenna/RF test adapter must make contact with the outer surface of the RF jack in the radio to provide the proper RF ground.
DON'T RISK a blown fINAL AMP.
