I've used the information on the hoffis pages to make all radio's 16 channel, 0-999mhz and 5 watts. If I now program a radio, say a GP300 thats 403-470 bandsplit to a frequency say 477.625 TX/RX, will it do 5 watts TX, or should I modify all the uhf units back to 4 watts. I know that 2 channel jobs after '94 wont do a channel conversion, this is common knowledge. I also know I cant stick a VHF frequency into a UHF radio, nor can you go very far outside the radios limits (5-10 megs at best). I've fiddled with the RSS, pulled a code plug from an 8 ch gp300, which is read as a 16 channel radio and any frequency can be entered from 0-999 mhz). I'm not game to program with this modified RSS until someone tells me its not going to ruin the radio provided I use common sense in allocating frequencies to the modes.

edit: forgot to mention that I edited some of the copyright stuff to return the checksum of the file to normal.
