How Much is a UHF Astro Spectra W9 Gov Split worth?

Post by cryptoman »

I am considering getting a used UHF Astro Spectra radio and would like to know what
the going price would be.

The radio that I am looking at is:
UHF Government Split (Q = 403 - 437 MHz)
Includes W9 Control Head, trunk unit and cables.
It might be Securenet, but need to find out (see my other posting)
Model: T99DX+148W_ASTRO
ID: T04QKH9PW9AN
1 MEG

Is there much of a market for this type of radio if I get it and decide to sell it later?

Any input is appreciated!

If you could swap out the gov split RF parts for 450 it's be a good item. That bandsplit is hard to do anything with...

Yah lol,
403-430 is good in a handheld if you decide to become part of a mercenary team sneaking around in the jungles of south america. Probably not very likely though :P hehe

Govenrment split (400-430) radios are worth money in Europe, as the low split is just a PMR section. Also the UHF ham band is at 430-440, so they work great as ham radios too.

I have several low split radios, mostly ex-gov stuff which I use for our PMR system regularly.
