I'm trying to buy a Motorola GTX 800 mobile which can handle Types I and II Systems. These seem to be Model #M11UGD6BC1AN. However, I see the same model number given on GTX 800's which are for " LTR " systems which seems like a very different type of trunking system.
Can the GTX 800 LTR's be used on Type I, II, if not, can they be convereted by simple software manipultion of the radio?
Many thanks,
Geo.

Hi,
The model # for motorola trunking I,II and IIi capable GTX is M11UGD6CB1AN.
For LTR GTX it is M11UGD6CU1AN.
These are for 800mhz.
You can check on this at batlabs.com/gtx.html
I personally don't know if they can be converted or not but I'm sure a LTR unit won't work on Type I,II or IIi systems.
Hope this helps.
