I'm currently trying to program my Spectra 900mhz B7 model. Here is the problem, I'm trying to program in a conventional simplex(Direct) channel. After programming, when I go to transmit I push the PTT button and a constant tone sounds, I have read that this is the time it sends the ID, but it never stops. When I go into the test mode and test the transmitter I come up with an error, "Serial Bus Fault: Busy line locked" and then the radio power is cut and resets. I have tried a local repeater and still nothing, and now I'm out of Idea's. If there are any Ideas out there that would like to mozey my way, they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The VCO won't lock up. That's why your getting the continuous tone. You need to go back and readjust the VCO. Here's a thought, see if you can squirt the old file back into it first and then see what happens.
