Gee, don't overload the guy with information or anything. Nick, I'm not sure. Are the 1250's capable of emergency receive? I know the 1550 is & and that the 1250's couldn't before, but maybe that's changed with the last few firmware updates? Even assuming it could decode it, I can't find in the help menus where you could cause it to put out a high on any accessory pin. The help menu states the External Alarm is activated by an incoming call alert, sel call, or MDC Message. It doesn't specifically mention MDC Emergency as setting it off. I guess all you can do is try it. Good Luck.

thanks wavetar. yeah well i should have said 1550, woops. Reason been the radio I intend to use ti with is a GM398 which is the asian version of the next step up from the CDM1550 with a full keybpad where the front fire speaker goes. Basicly I wanted something to wake me up when some one pushes "the button". Yeah i do see what you mean in the CPS. I THINK you can select which signal causes a "state" on the acc connector. If thats the case then i would only allow Emergecny to set it off and not a Sel Call, or a Call alert etc.

I hope i havnt confused you to much mate

edit
