Maratrac Programming

I have been trying to read a maratrac mobile and i getting a seria bus error 002 my rib appears to be working and i am using a 386 computer any ideas any help would be much appreciated.

Are you connected to the radio properly? More than once, I've seen others try to read these radios with the RIB connected to the wrong place! We'll assume that you are in the modular "RSS" port inside of the radio.

Perform the standard checks when this occurs-cabling, RIB itself, try to read another Maratrac and see what happens- it could be the radio, too.
Check RSS configurations, too. A 386 should be just fine, as I use a 150 Pentium with no problems.

The Maratrac was the ONLY radio I ever had a problem talking to with my 386 laptop and Polaris RIB. I discovered some of the powersaving features of the laptop interfered with the RSS. Once I disabled them in cmos, it worked fine!
