As a matter of fact, the rounded-off speaker/mics sold for Jedi and Saber/Astro/XTS products IS called a Yoda mic. It's clearly marked as such in the earlier catalogs.

I guess the next radio series will be nicknamed the Maul platform, and would have two antennas, sticking out in opposite directions...or maybe the Jar-Jar line. (Those radios would make a lot of irritating noises.)

The GP300/P110/Triton Marine radios are referred to as the "Yoda family" in my '95 LMPS batteries specifications sheets. The HT10/P10/P50 are called the "Gremlin family". I'm waiting for a "Goonie" radio & possibly a "Trekkie" product.

But where does the name "Waris" (SP?) come from? I know it's the name for the pro series but I have no idea what it's origions are...

(Elroy - the comment on Jar Jar was great. I could actually see that suiting the Pro series well... I can set it up so when I get an MDC page it sounds like an actual beeper. I could see that making sense if you were able to tell it make different sounds based on the sel-call caller, but still...)

What radios do you own?: Various APX series

Speaking of the Yoda mic, what is the part number of the Yoda mic that works on a standard (non-astro) Saber? Is there such a thing, or do they only make Yoda mics for the Astro Sabers?
(I'm sure that's been asked a million times before...sorry!)
