Sorry if this has been discussed before, I did a search for HT1000 and did not see this covered. I am getting a pair of HT1000's, unknown vintage, and NO user's manuals.

Does anyone have it scanned or know of a website that may have a downloadable manual? I'm trying to get these programmed for user selectable priority scan, and just want to make sure I let the person programming these know what I need done.I understand programming the user scan list and setting priority channel in the field can be a bear, not at all like the MT1000.

Also, I'm looking into buying a JT1000. Is the operation essentially the same as the HT1000? I would like to get a copy of an ops manual for the JT1000 as well.

One last thing, ( I promise) do the ops manuals explain the various function button programming options? They may be of no use to me , but you never know unless you ask or read about it.

Of course, I don't expect anything for free, private e-mail me and we'll work something out.

Thanks for your time,
Doug

Motorola still has a limited number of manuals / user guides available in .pdf format on AccessPoint. They have the JT1000 at:

http://accesssecure.mot.com/Accesspoint ... JT1000.pdf

All they seem to have for the HT1000 is the PS mic and the AVS board. Go figure......

I don't have a users manual for the HT1000, but I have programmed my HT1000 for user selectable priority scan (selected channel) and it's not a problem setting the scan list in the field.

If you need help with the programming with the KEY on the JT1000, post a message when you get to that point, there are enough of us here that can help with it. The Government codeplug hack to eliminate the need of the programming key works and is alot better that toting around that darn key. I was considering selling my JT1000, but haven't found a HT1250 or the like to replace it yet.

Thanks for the replies and the link to the JT1000 ops manual. Am I correct in thinking that the ops of the JT are prety much the same as the HT except being keypad programmable?

What radios do you own?: MTR2000, CDM1550, HT1250

Motorola stocks the manuals you need to program and/or service the HT1000 radios. Part #6881200C15 is the Theory and Troubleshooting manual for $17.25, and Part #6881200C40 is the Detailed Service Manual for $25.00. With all the detailed fold-out schematics, I doubt that you could beat those prices given the cost of reproduction and shipping. Before you order the above manuals, get the exact model and serial numbers of the radios and call Motorola Parts ID to confirm applicability.
