I have a quantar Repeater with DUPLEXER. How can I use this repeater for multiple groups?. I guess that I must use multiple DPL’S .

For what we call "community" repeater, each fleet has their own PL or DPL code on the same RF frequency. You need to add a multi user pannel like a Zetron Model 38 to do the decoding of the different pl tones/codes and encoding and keying for the transmitter.

Hi,

Unless you have an unusual Quantar, it should be able to do this "Community" operation already. Look at the programming manual, and it will explain how to set up multiple "customers" (it should also keep track of how much time each tone is used). Motorola calls this "Multi-coded squelch".

Yes friend, I have not an unusal quantar repeater and there is no option to use multiple dpls . When reading the code plug, you can add multiple dpl tables. In the channel information screen, you can use only one table per channel. So I think that the Zetron Model 38 is the best solution.

thanks for your response

Dear Hartley,

I think that you have the accurate answer. I test the repeater and it is working very will when changing the multi-coded parameter. If there any considretion in the community repeater , please send me them.
