I bought a used Visar DTMF and had it programmed for my agency. There seems to be an issue with the battery low indicator chirp. After a few minutes, it starts saying that the battery is low even though it is on a freshly charged battery. Even though it is chirping, it continues ot work for many hours afterwards. Does any one know of an adjustment that can be made? Thanks.

Woah small world. Mike, it's Chris. I just noticed your message. I looked at the configs for your visar and mine, and the only difference is the battery alert on rx. I have mine turned off. If you are going to the spotters class on Sat bring the visar and I'll turn it off for you.
As Nand said it could be the batteries, but it was odd that my batery was making your radio chirp as well. Then again they are all a few years old. Maybe it's time for a replacement.

Hey Chris. Since you gave me this page, I thought it would be a good place to look for answers to any problems I might have. I will be at the meeting on Saturday, so we can take a look at it then.
I thought that it was weird that it chirped with your battery as well. I had it off the charger from Friday through Sunday, and the battery never chirped on me. Maybe it was just an anomoly when we were programming it. Seeya.
