I was unaware that there is CPS software JUST for the XTS5000. I will have to obtain that.
I was looking at the Batlabs website information on the XTS series, and I was under the impression that the HT/JT1000 cable can be used to program these radios. (I have a HT/JT1000 cable and a SmartRIB.) If I have to go with the RIBless cable, what are the chances of building one? I'm assuming it is nothing more then a basic serial cable, with a Jedi series speaker/mic connector at the end, with the pins moved to the correct contacts, right? Does anyone know the pinout for this cable? (Or is it more complicated then that? Is there some sort of IC in the cable-end or something?

) Worst case: I see they are selling them (the cables) on EBay for $100 - $140.
