The XTS2500 should use Jedi style accessories - however, use Waris batteries.

Jedi: Same accy's as XTS3000/5000, HT1000, MT/S/X Series
Waris: HT750/1250/1550

The 2500 is an excellent radio. Very good selectivity/sens, and the digital performance is good as well.

The commander series RSM will not work with the 2500's, and although the 2500 batt will work on the waris line radios, the waris batt will not on a 1500 or 2500. (dont have the part #'s in front of me, but they are different)

All the rest of the XTS/Jedi Accy's work fine.

The testing I have done is purely in a conventional environment. Not sure about trunking, analog or digital.

The 1500/2500's are lacking a few features we are used to (no hardware encryption, abc switch only- no concentric, no lighted channel knob) , but they dont break the bank like a fully loaded 5000.

We have about 200 XTS2500 Model III's in service on a trunking system and they work fine. The only item not available for them is a Public Safety Speaker Mic which is supposed to come out towards the end of the year.

Other than that it's a supurb radio with a nice display, very ergonomic for the size, and competative in price for an Astro capable radio.
