Kenwood Question TK-762g QC-II

Post by firemed9 »

Is there anyway to make the TK-762g decode QC-II tones like a minitor? I am tired of having to carry both, and my chief insists that he needs me to carry my portable. I know there is options in the programming for two tone, but I'm not sure how to set it up, if that is even what I am looking for. Please help if you can.

Steve,

The TK-272G is capable of decoding the QCII format. First you will have to program in your A & B tones on the 2-tone screen, set up the options: auto reset, etc.....

Then you will need to program in a channel that you are going to use for paging. It works best on this model to have a seperate channel set aside for paging. Then at the end of the channel information, (out to the right) you will need to set the signalling column to "2-tone"

After this it should be good to go.

If you need further you can email me direct or I can have you send your radio and information to me and I can set it up for you.
