I have a question to all. Does anyone know the lifespan of the finals in a MT 2000. The radio was bought in 1994 and I just want to know how long it might have.
Agreed, put the radio on a service monitor or if you don't have one, a wattmeter. Make sure you are not overdriving the PA, and that the inside of the radio is clean.
Assuming you don't beat on the radio and don't have a 4 watt radio doing 5.7 watts, you should be fine.
