mcx1000 mdc1200

OK im programing a mcx1000 and it says it has mdc1200 and mdc 600 when i program it it wont send the burst. i put the i.d. in and mode slave it to the channel it just doesnt send the burst. even if i put it on the beginning of the transmission, it will beep but no data any ideas?

Don't quote me on this but as I seem to
remember that radio required an optional board. If that board is still available is anyones guess because of the vintage of that radio I would kind of doubt it.

Doug is correct, and I believe the board is still available from M but at an outrageous price.

Maybe you should consider an aftermarket board.

Well that stinks. owell I can live with out it. Its a excelent radio once i got it to program man is that a stinker to program. thanks guys

YOU CAN STILL USE THE MDC ON THE RADIO IF YOU HAVE A SCHEMATIC OR A MANUAL WHICH IS HELPFUL SINCE I DONT REMEMBER WHICH PINS ARE WHAT AT THE MOMENT IT SHOWS A MDC 600/1200 BOARD JUST FOLLOW THROUGH THE OP AMPS AND SEE WHICH PINS ARE INPUT AND OUTPUT YOU CAN JUST COUPLE THESE TOGETHER ON THE INTERCONNECT BOARD WITH A .01 CAP OR SUCH AND YOU NOW GET XMIT MDC.
