Question about XTS3000

Post by Sniper2075 »

I just have a quick question. I'm not really familiar with radios, learning more everyday by reading here. I just need to know if this radio should work on my system. Here is the info from another radio being used on the system.
DSP N08.02.04
R07.09.02
Flascode 500008-000000-1

Radio I'm looking at is the following:
DSP N07.03.06
R07.00.01
flashcode : 500004-000000-5

Main difference I see is that the one I have access to has a flashcode for Smartzone Operation and the one I'm looking at is Smartnet Operation. Radio will be programmed by our Radio Shop. Can they upgrade the unit to Smartzone or not. I will try and call to confirm but I might not be able to get in touch with them for some time. Thanks for your help.

If it is a legit radio you can purchase a SmartNet to SmartZone flash upgrade from Motorola. It is not cheap.

Thanks for the quick reply. Any ideas on the actual cost of the upgrade. Going totally legit. The price is good so even with paying the upgrade it might be worth it.

Thanks,

I think going from conventional to SmartZone was around $750 list. Best thing is to contact your local Motorola sales rep once you get the radio.
