XTS3000 Won't Unmute For Digital Audio

Post by mikegilbert »

Hey Everyone. I've got my new XTS3000, but it won't un-mute when It hears Digital. It will decode the audio when I hit the monitor button, but just flashes when It detects the carrier. I don't know if it has anything to do with the network id codes or NAC. My AS3 was programmed the same way and It had no problem with the audio.

If I can't figure it out I'll just take it to the local shop. They fixed Nick's wacky programming job last time. (50+ channels in one zone w/ no scan list) I'm pretty sure they're just gonna put in the codes, but I thought it might be something else. Thanks for the help.

let me go into it further, it was too early to think more coherently

The problem is that your radio is programmed using a network ID to filter out traffic on the conventional channels. The 'network ID' is like an ASTRO version of DPL or PL.

In the conventional personalities section of the RSS, there's an option to RX in digital CSQ, and that's what you will want for those channels.

Thanks Josh. I couldn't remember what the guy said at the shop last time. I'm going in today to fix it. Thanks for the help!
