Post by bmoulton »

I just picked up a Mobile charger off ebay for my Mt-2000.
It has a Light maked Pac*RT and a switch that says Rptr and off.
Can anyone tell me what these are for ???
Model number is TDN9816A
Also wondering what the white wire is for ?

ok, that's a moto niCad charger for the MT2k that interfaces with a PacRT, and the switch would put in inline w/ the repeater or std operations, and the light indicates such....howeever,i'm not a PacRT person, someone else on the board might have more info for you.

Chris, you pretty well covered it. With the switch set to the "Rptr" position, it activates an attached PAC RT whenever the HT is removed from the charger, and de-activates it when the HT is returned to the charger. When set to "Off", the PAC RT stays off when the HT is removed. If you are not using a PAC unit, don't worry about it. It will function as a normal charger, however the switch is set. Don't know about the white wire, though. Could be the wire to go to the PAC?

The white wire is a switched lead and can be used to turn on Pyramid vehicle repeaters and Pac-Rt's. Hope this helps
