What is the difference between the A5,B5 and C5 control heads?

With most models, its the trunking or system type:
A-Conventional
B-Privacy Plus
C-Smartnet
The other difference is the control head type.. commons ones are:
3-Hand Held control head (mic + head in one)
4-Rotary vol and channel (mode) selector, pushbutton everything else
5-All push button, with 3 extra controls
7-Same as above but with 12
9-Expanded head, larger display, maybe some more buttons.
The above is for mobile radios, but the scheme is the same for mobiles and portables, but will vary with each line of radios.
