ex600xls

Post by sheonb »

1.)How can I tell if a ex600xls is UHF or VHF?
2.)What kind of computer would I need to program this? (Is it like the ht1000 in which I would need a old comp?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The model number is: aah38sdh9du6an

By its model number.

I have programmed a pro series radio many times w/o problems on a Duron 750 w/ XP Pro, others have reported good luck with newer machines too.

The 'S' means the radio has a 450-520 bandsplit.

You need what is now called CPS (Customer Programming Software).

The part number is HVN9025(X) where X is the version. I am currently using HVN9025L and it works on radios currently delivered.

This CPS also works for the CDM, MTX, and HT (750/1250/1550).

Forgive me, I forgot to mention that the HVN9025 CPS is Windows based and works fine on fast pc's and on XP.

Really....it works with the MTX?

Guess I should read the support papers instead of just opening the box and tossing it to the side next time :x

No, the MTX series has it's own seperate CPS.

Actually, it depends on which series you are talking about. There are Genesis, Jedi, and Waris series MTXs.

Wow...you've had your coffee today
Your absoulty correct!
Genesis - MTX800/810/820/900/Classic
Jedi - MTX8000/9000/MT2000/NTS2000
Waris - MTX850/950/8250/9250(and the LS's)

Good luck finding CPS for the Genesis.... :x

Yes...but since they were talking about the Waris series CPS, I assumed they were talking about Waris series MTX radios.

Right, my point was that they use the same cps as the rest of the Waris radios, HVN9025.

Your point would be wrong. They use a separate CPS, part# HVN9067, which was MY original point.
