Securenet audio on the Saber

Post by kc2dla »

Hello,

I am in need of the field programmer user guide for the Saber Series (68P81044C65). Specifically, I am intersted in the procedure for adjusting the securenet deviation (DES) and other related parameters such as audio, deviation, etc. with a service monitor. I just put some eBay DES modules in two UHF Saber I radios and the securenet audio is not very understandable at all.

Thanks,
Paul

You really need a secure capable service monitor to tweak your settings. DES audio isn't all that hot almost abrasive in my experience. Before proceeding to the secure deviation offset adj you should align the radio itself. The deviation offset needs to be set to within 4khz +/- 500.

OK, good. I have other sabers with DES that sound way better than than the two that are in need of tweaking. Thanks for the info! I don't suppose anybody has the RSS manual I need in a PDF file?
