My two bits worth:
In the US there are several manufacturers of crystals.
I use International Crystal, which recently acquired Sentry Crystal.
USA area 405-236-3741

Another possibility is Bomar crystal.
USA 1-800-526-3935

I do not have their internet address, but you could "Google" for it.

Just give the channel element part number, and frequency, they will calculate the formula.
No problem!

I strongly recommend International Crystal Mfg.

They are a little more expensive but I have never had a problem with their product. I use them exclusively after many problems with crystals from others either being off frequency when delivered or drifting off after installation.

International Crystal also warrants their crystals forever. If they EVER fail, they'll be replaced. Can't go wrong with ICM.

Another vote for ICM, they assemble them, test them, label them, guarantee them, and then ship them.

A lot of other places just put the crystal in and thats it when building a channel element, i won't name the companies, but i have had others send me a channel element with a crystal that was no good.

Yeah they cost a bit, on average about $25 each when i send them Mitrek channel elements to be re-crystalled to the frequency i need, but its well worth the money spent knowing that even if they ever do fail they stand behind them!

Go ICM......!

I stand behind ICMs guarantee, they do what they say, and say what they do.
Bomar had QC problems, as did Marden(which I lived close to a long time ago) and I got several bad rocks from Marden, but they are no longer in business from what I heard, and Bomar also had a bout with QC a few years ago.

You can't do better than ICM, I never received a bad crystal, and they will send you all the parts you need if you are doing the re-rock yourself(even those pesky insulators for the base come in the manila packet!).

Good folks to deal with.

Crystals

Another vote for ICM. Their crystals very rarely go bad, their warranty is excellent, and their customer service is wonderful. They do have an 800 # 1-800-725-1426

Thanks to all. I think I'll try ICM since there are too many votes.
