Minitor III reset problem

Post by nyscan00 »

Hi I have a MIN III UHF pager that has a reset problem.

I currently hav it set up as follows:
Swich A - Alert tones, revent N reset
Swich B - Vive alert, open after page is received
Swich C - Monitor all traffic F1 open
Swich D - Vibe alert, no voice

Problem is when the pager activates and tones out it either does 1 of 2 things....
1- after it alerts it will shut off and automatically reset(never allowing me to hear the voice message) or
2- it will alert, and will hiss at the end of transmission, neverallowing me to reset(when i hit the reset button nothing happens) I have to manually turn it off and back on each time

Is this a programming issue or is somehting wrong w/ the pager?

What radios do you own?: KW tk2170, tk730, etc.

on one of them, could be a featurer that you must push the reset button to listen, i'd send it for reprogramming and then sending it to MOTOROLA.

Check your programming. However long your N time is on the reset function, this is how long your unit will remain unsquelched after the carrier drops. If this is not the problem, check the squelch setting (pot). These are things your local dealer can do without sending it in-RRRobby
