Hi All,
I have a VHF 110 Watt trunk mount A9 Spectra that I use for ambulance/rescue work.
The radio appears to transmit and receive OK when it is in a non-scan mode. I have noticed however that reception stops if I engage the "scan" button during receiving a transmission. If the scan is on I hear nothing from the radio.
I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance,
Doug

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
start with that button, check the programming and make shure that's what the scan button is set up to do, just because it says scan on it don't mean that's what it's doing. next i'd check the scan list and make shure it's not empty.

That usually gets everyone the first time around.
To make things idiot proof, set the scan up with the option of "Pri selected channel" or something to that effect. That way whatever channel you are on, will always be heard, and it make it the 1st priorty chan.

Thanks
Thanks for the help.
Yes, the "Scan" button is programmed for scan. Not sure about the other setting. I will check it when I get home.
Thanks again!!
