MLM Board question

Post by chpalmer »

I have a new "uninitialized" MLM that lists a programmed freq in the 144 range on the label that came with it. Can I initialize this in one of my 900's and dump a 900 conventional only codeplug into it?? Or is this only for a VHF model? (Anyone have a conventional only b7 plug?(is this legal))??

Maybe Not

This was sold to me as uninitialized, and not being a shop that sees any Spectras, I dont know much about em. This seems to actually be factory initialized as a 50 watt vhf a7. Firmware is 6.11. Any Thoughts

I could trade you that one for a genuine 900 one! I am trying to get some VHF parts to make one of my 900's into a VHF.

Strange MLM

Post by Will »

I have an 900 B5 with scan, the later 40 pin type. I also have an earlier 37 pin conv with scan.
The A7 VHF I have is strange, when I go into the Service mode from RSS, the radio tells the computer it is a 217 and some mhz and the transmitter does not key..the computer says it did!!
If I go into Align in the front pannel mode, it displays 438 to 469 freqs????? and the transmitter does not key, but I can change the values. Strange?

Does the VHF MLM have Zones?
