Astro Lab 3.4 Problem!
OK here's one for you Astro gurus.....Radio is programmed with version 9.1 and while reading with Lab v 3.4, when it finishes reading the radio, and appears to be saving the code plug, it comes up with an error ( block type error an unrecoverable error has occured processing can not continue 180/53 ) What's going on!!?? I have tried this on several computers using different com port speeds and still the same thing. Is this because newer version was used?? Can anybody help?? Can't seem to locate what I need..
Using the search feature of batlabs, you are using a RSS that is older than whats in the radio. Translation: won't work. No way around it. LAB from what I understand is very dangerous to play with, and Motorola like to go after people who have it.
I hope you don't have it.
I hope you don't have it.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

ASTRO LAB 3.04.00 (I believe that's what you meant) preceeded IMBE ASTRO, so it can't read a radio with IMBE in it. It will give you the unrecoverable block error you describe. PM me with details of what you are trying to do, perhaps I can help you out.
The "shop" in your area is playing with fire. The LAB RSS was meant for Motorola internal use only. I know many people have obtained it for personal use via the Internet & such, but a shop is a little more high profile. If they are an MSS, they can easily lose that status if Motorola finds out they have an illegal copy of the LAB RSS and are using it on customer radios.
