Just picked up a ASI with the following:

Model: HO4RDC9PW5AN

Flash: 0000010000009

Software version 03.16.XX.XX

Codeplug version 000C

Codeplug size 2411


Can it be flash upgraded for IMBE? what is the latest DSP/Software version for this old a radio?

I assume if it is upgradable it will have to go to the depot

That flash code is a vselp radio, so It should be possible to upgrade to imbe, but you would have to find someone to do it for you, or try to get an upgrade from Motorola, but it appears to be very hard to get a upgrade from Motorola unless you are the original purchaser. You may be able to find someone who has an extra firmware flash and be willing to do the upgrade, but to get the newest host/ dsp you have to have a 1meg vocon. Even if it is 512k, you should still be able to get imbe, just not 9600 trunking.

You probably have a 512K board in that radio.

The latest (or last for that matter) Host & firmware for a 512K vocon:

Your radio is upgradable. I had an eBay AS1 with the same specs as your uplifted, and it works excellent
