HI Guys, I just made a deal for a rugged case for an Astro Saber. I was wondering if there was anything that I should be extra careful for when swapping the housings?
Is there any special procedures that I need to be aware of and or follow when installing the guts into the rugged case?
This might be a simple question to some but I want to be sure before I do the swap that I am prepared for it. I don't even have the case yet but I want to know before I do it.
Thanks guys

Nope. No problems at all. Just remove the case by loosening the two slotted spanner nuts on the bottom, pull the radio out of the housing by grabbing the antenna, (don't push any buttons when doing this!!!) and slide the radio into the new housing and tighten down the nuts.
Of course, you now need the correct battery. Presumably you have one.
It's sort of cool for a while, but the truth is that I got one of those housings, used it for just a little while, and then put the radio back into its regular housing, which isn't quite so bulky, particularly around the battery latch. It didn't help that my R battery really needs to be replaced, (they're expensive)and I've got lots of good standard batteries.
