Hi all,
i have been pondering over this for quite some time, and have searched through countless pages here on this great site and have come across a few housing mods, but none that suit my specific inquiry.
my question is:
how different (physically) is an xts 3000 housing to an xts 5000? I have an xts 3000 at the moment and am looking at buying a new housing for it. I understand that the flex cables are completely different inside of the housings themselves between the two, however is it possible to install an xts 5000 housing on an xts 3000 chassis and put the 3000's flex cable inside of the 5000's housing???
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i would love to have my 3000 looking like a 5000 without the couple of grand in between.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Cain

Why wont it work this time?

No. The internal arrangement for the 5k housing differs from the 3k housing, same as the outside differs.Cain wrote:... however is it possible to install an xts 5000 housing on an xts 3000 chassis and put the 3000's flex cable inside of the 5000's housing???
