I've been using mandatory radio lock on an xts3500 for a while now. All fields underneath radio lock are visible (password length and the password I enter).
I've recently installed an encryption board and have set the radio to hardware secure equipped. I powered the radio up and entered my normal unlock code but it won't accept it. If I check with RSS, only the radio lock enabled field is visible. The other fields have disappeared.
My original password was 7 digits long. The radio now wants 9 digits. The RSS manual indicates that the password must be -9 digits long. If I change the secure hardware field back to no, then the fields are visible again and my password is back. Powering the radio up and entering my password unlocks it.
I've tried entering a 9 digit password but it still balks at that.
I need to leave the radio as secure equipped (for obvious reasons) but I'd also like to use the radio lock feature (with auto login disabled).
Anybody have any ideas?

Re: Radio lock and hardware encryption question.
Does anyone know how to do this on a XTS 3000?
