CPS thinks radio has a DEK when it doesnt

CPS thinks radio has a DEK when it doesnt
I read my W9 this morning (haven't gotten around to programming it until today) and for some reason CPS thinks it has a DEK. Apparently all of the DEK buttons were programmed to select certain zones and channels on the radio so when I go to delete any extra zones that I don't need I get an invalid field which won't allow me to save or upload the codeplug into the radio.
When I try to go into DEK settings to change all of the buttons to blank, CPS states that one isn't present and won't let me edit anything. How do I add a DEK in CPS? Do I have to have one physically attached to the radio when I read it so CPS will think I have it?

If it has no DEK installed, set the number of DEKs to 0 in the Radio Config > Controls > DEK A page.
Re: CPS thinks radio has a DEK when it doesnt
Thanks, I tried, but since CPS says I don't have a DEK the DEK-A page under controls is dimmed out and won't let me click on it.

Re: CPS thinks radio has a DEK when it doesnt
You're saying that the Number of DEKs drop down box on the DEK A page is grayed out? What value does it currently show, regardless?
Re: CPS thinks radio has a DEK when it doesnt
When I open the radio codeplug, the DEK isn't even present under radio configuration. When I go to features > controls > etc on the drop down menu bar, I get DEK A, DEK B, DEK C, DEK D but they're all grayed out. I'm guessing the previous user had a DEK then removed it so when I went to read the radio it showed that I don't have a DEK but somewhere in the codeplug the settings are still there but for some reason un-accessible. I'll grab my laptop in a bit so I'll be able to go into more detail. Btw, this is CPS5.01 running on a Dell C600 256mb Ram Windows XP.

That is a weird one... PM on the way
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

Re: CPS thinks radio has a DEK when it doesnt
PM recv'd, email sent. Definitely is weird, I went through every setting in the entire codeplug and can't seem to find anything to remedy it. I tried adding a DEK in the codeplug so I can undo whatever is wrong, but can't seem to figure it out.

My 5.02 CPS isn't showing any invalid fields but things are not there that should be. It must be a hacked plug. The DEK fields are not showing up and the VIPs are greyed out.

The invalid fields show up when you start deleting zones btw.
